Q. Tell me about the Underwood® Devil logo?
A. The Underwood Devil logo, which was registered in 1870, is believed to be the oldest registered trademark still in use for a prepackaged food product in the United States. The Underwood red devil symbol was to identify the company’s product – deviled ham.


Q. Are Underwood® cans recyclable?
A. Yes, Underwood cans are made of steel and are 100% recyclable.


Q. How do I know what the shelf life is?
A. Our Underwood® products have a “best used by” date stamped on the outside bottom lid of the can. Just turn the can upside down to read it.


Q. Do you still make Underwood® sardines?
A. No, The complete line of Underwood sardines was discontinued years ago.
